I recently noted the mention of a new search engine--A9.com --and was impressed when I finally tried it because I found several things that should have appeared on Google but didn't. It's interface allows you to incorporate different kinds of searches including image , yellow pages, reference and, not surprisingly, a book search. It not surprising because the A of A9 stands for Amazon. If you sign in with your Amazon login and password you can take advantage of the "Search Inside the Book" feature in which you can actually read a few pages of a copyrighted book. It's downloadable toolbar offers lots of other functionalities for those who don't mind junking up their browser screen. Try A9.com and see if it can give Google a run for the money.
